Patch will keep an updated list of candidates for the May 3 election

(UPDATED) MARCH 15, 1:00 p.m.——Incumbent City Council members Randy Craig and John Correri filed for the May 3 election Monday. Both will seek to retain their seats on council.

(UPDATED) MARCH 11, 7:00 p.m.——No candidates filed Thursday or Friday.

(UPDATED) MARCH 9, 4:45 p.m.——Lori Maslin is the latest candidate to file for the May 3 election. Maslin will run for City Council.

Interested candidates have until March 15 to visit City Hall and apply for the May 3 election. Three City Council seats and the Mayor's seat will be up for election.

When elected Barbara's plan:

• Reduce taxes and fees for taxpayers. Develop a long term plan for reduction of property taxes.
• Transparent government. Offer open and timely access to government activities utilizing the city website. Provide ample opportunities for informed citizen input and participation.
• Increased public access to our waterfront. Pass revised zoning ordinances that ensure all future development along the waterfront includes mandatory public access components.
• Business-friendly city practices promoting a vibrant historic downtown business district, a successful commercial business district along the Route 40 corridor, and a vital industrial district off of Old Bay Lane. Increased success within the Havre de Grace business community will help alleviate the residential tax burden while providing additional employment opportunities for citizens.
• A Sustainable Havre de Grace. Turn Havre de Grace into “Havre de Green” by protecting our bay, conserving our resources, and incorporating energy options. Institute changes within the city infrastructure to move the city towards Zero Net Energy goals, and utilizing renewable energy harvesting.
